ABOUT SHOOSH LETTICK CROTZER

Shoosh has been teaching yoga since 1974 and specializes in working with students with special needs, including those with MS, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and Cancer. She is an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist and she has a masters’ degree in Diagnostic Education. In 1994, while teaching for the National MS Society, she founded the production and distribution company Mobility Limited and wrote and produced the video Yoga for MS. She wrote and produced Yoga for Arthritis in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation in 1997 and she produced and distributes the therapeutic dance video written by Sherry Lebed Davis, Focus on Healing through Movement & Dance for Breast Cancer Survivors. In 2008, Rodmell Press published her book Yoga for Fibromyalgia: Move, Breathe, and Relax to Improve Your Quality of Life. Shoosh is working on her second book that will be a yoga handbook for breast cancer survivors, and she is also working on a new yoga app. She has given workshops and made presentations on yoga and arthritis at international rheumatology conferences and is especially interested in working with lymphedema.  Shoosh also has two YouTube videos:  Lymphatic Flow Yoga Series and Yoga Seated Sun Exercises.

Shoosh was the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit Enhancement, Inc., working with breast cancer survivors’ quality-of -life for 14 years. While at Enhancement, one of her projects was the creation and administration of educational seminars for lymphedema therapists out of which grew the company she founded and now runs, Lymphedema Seminars.  Shoosh now owns and runs Lymphedema Seminars, a company that holds educational weekend seminars around the country providing state-of-the-art training for PTs, OTs, RNs, and others working with lymphedema.

Shoosh began her yoga training in India in the 1970s and continued with Sivananda Yoga teachers in Los Angeles. She has a background in Iyengar-style yoga and has studied with Joel Kramer, Ganga White, and Tracey Rich among many others. Shoosh loves to teach and has taught yoga at universities, public schools, yoga centers, health clubs,  and privately throughout the country. She lives in Morro Bay, California, with her husband, Colby and has seven incredible grandchildren.
